Our Values & Policies

Health & Safety Values

SSA New Zealand believes in working with our customers and suppliers ensuring processors are in place to provide the desired level of service in the most efficient and safe manner possible.

We are committed to providing a Safe and Healthy workplace and have procedures and training in place to cover all aspects of the job.

Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA), risk assessment and training are regularly reviewed by our Health and Safety Manager. We encourage joint audits of operations with customers, ports and suppliers reviewing procedures. We believe day to day safety is the responsibility of all involved in the operations and have H&S committees at each port which meet regularly to discuss operations and how best to handle these Nationally we are using the Vault system to manage HSE e.g. risk, training, JSEA’s, corrective actions etc.

In 2023 SSA entered into an enforceable undertaking with Maritime New Zealand. The enforceable undertaking can be accessed https://www.maritimenz.govt.nz/media/2bpd4igk/eu-ssa-new-zealand.pdf
